1) 1)  How do I Apply for The Score Showcase at Greensboro?

Our applications are on our home page. We are now using the Demosphere software. If you have applied to another tournament using this software, we suggest using the same password and ID you already have.

2)  When will I find out if my team has been accepted, and how?

The Score Showcase at Greensboro uses a rolling acceptance, meaning the earlier you apply the earlier you may find out if you are accepted.  The team coach and manager will receive an email once your team is accepted.  We will also posted a list of teams shortly after applications become available.  We notify teams via email with official Letter of Invitation once they are accepted into the tournament.

3)  Where can I find a complete list of accepted teams?

A The link can be found on our website.  The list of teams is generally added about one week after we begin accepting teams.

4)  Can I use my old player passes?

We accept any player pass as long as it has the name and age of the player. Player passes are used primarily for red card adjudication. Every player must have a pass.

5)  How many guest players can I bring?

Please refer to the tournament rules. We ask that guest players have the same high school graduation year as the majority of the players in the age group your team will play in.

6)  Do I need Permission to Travel?

Yes, you must have permission to travel from your state. If they decline your request please contact us.

7)  Can my team play with US Club Soccer player passes?

Yes, any USSF affiliate passes are acceptable.

8)  When are schedules available and where do I find them?

Schedules are generally posted about two weeks before tournament.  An email will go out to the coaches and team manages letting them know the links are active to look at the schedules.  Make sure your email addresses are updated on your Demosphere account to receive this info.

9)   Does my team need to register on site and where?

http://thescoretournaments.com/greensboro_check_in_info.html

10)  How do you seed teams?

Unlike other events we do not place teams into flights before the event begins. Every team has the opportunity to win our championship. Think of The Score Showcase as two tournaments in one. The first is a seeding event and the second is a knockout event.   Every team will play three group games. Group winners and wild cards, if any, will move on to our tournament championship playoffs. Every other team will be placed into another playoff group determined by your finish in group.

11)   Does every team get four games?

Every team will be scheduled to play four games,  to include at least one playoff game.  This structure may be modified due to rain. See our rules and certification sheet for more weather information.

12)  What are the game suspension rules for a red card?

To be determined by the game referee and/ or tournament director.  Decisions can not be challenged.

13)  Do Red Cards count against me in the scoring to advance.

Red Cards only come into play as one of the last tie-breakers when deciding which teams advance. Tournament Rules.

14)  Can a player participate with an orthopedic cast?

Soft cast yes, hard cast no.

15)  Do I have to input my rosters into the on-line scheduling program.

YES, all teams are required (mandatory) to input their rosters into Deomosphere. These rosters will be included in the referee game reports for use on the field. For U15-U17 this information is also used for the player profile book given to College Coaches and recruiters.

16)  Do we have to use your hotels?

Yes, we require you to use Tournament Logisitcs to book your accomodations.  If you are unwilling to use our hotels please do not apply.  Once you are accepted into the tournament, you may apply for housing at www.tournamentlogistics.com

17) Is there a college coach and VIP reception?

This is still to be determined for the upcoming Summer Events.  We will email all attending coaches the information once it becomes available.

18)  Will player profiles for college coaches be made available at the event?

As part of the on-line rosters inputted by the teams the U15-U18 age groups will have the opportunity to build a player profile that will be available on-line before, during and after the event. An abbreviated version will be distributed to all coaches upon them checking in at the event.
