Welcome to the Gate City in beautiful Greensboro, North Carolina! You’ll be whisked away by our southern hospitality and our intimate downtown city setting. Our Piedmont Triad community will keep you wanting more with our lush gardens, Watershed parks, and recreational facilities.
Greensboro Parks & Recreation operates more than 170 parks and facilities for people of all ages and abilities, and from all walks of life. Barber Park features the impressive Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion which is open for play year-round.  Barber Park is also home of an 18-hole disc golf course that is available to use for free.

Bryan Park features 36 holes of championship golf, a Pro-shop and grill, nine picnic shelters, Horseshoe pits, volleyball court, Tennis courts, and Playground.
Bur-Mil Park is a 250 acre park located in northwest Guilford County and some of its features are a clubhouse for meetings and events, picnic shelters, a family aquatic center, and a par 3 golf course and driving range!

Greensboro also features ten recreation centers, which include; The Brown Center, Craft Center, Glenwood Center, Leonard Center Lewis Center, Lindley Center, Peeler Center, Trotter Center, Warnersville Center and Windsor Center.

Our Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden was created in 1976 to commemorate our nation's bicentennial. Today, the garden is a thriving landmark and destination for Triad residents and visitors.

The Greensboro Arboretum is a 17-acre site features 12 permanent plant collections and special display gardens, structural features including a fountain, overlook, arbor, gazebo, bridges, and benches. Its extensive variety of plants offers rich educational opportunities for children and adults, landscape designers & homeowners.

Right in the middle of Greensboro's urban setting is one of the city's most unusual gardens. In contrast to formal garden settings, the Bog Garden is much like a nature preserve.  An elevated wood plank walkway provides access through this wetland for visitors to see the many varieties of plants and birds indigenous to the area.

Our  Watershed Parks are Lake Higgins, Lake Brandt and Lake Townsend and they offer boating, fishing, environmental programs and special events year around.

Greensboro also offers a historical museum located off of Summit Avenue offers amazing insight to our rich cultural history. We also have the Greensboro Farmers Market, Golf Courses, pools, and sports facilities!

Greensboro’s array of parks, gardens, watersheds and the intimate downtown environment offer the residents and visitors a chance to enlighten the senses!
